Beautiful and natural handmade fabric baskets to organize your modern space. They are perfect for gift-giving and ready to be filled with your favourite things.

Waxed cotton canvas was historically used by sailors beginning in the 15th century for sails, as well as for outdoor clothing. It is water-repellent and utilitarian, with natural beauty and character. The waxed finish will soften, and develop a beautiful patina over time.

Designed and individually handmade to order in our Vancouver studio, with thoughtfully sourced materials.

DETAILS:
*Waxed 100% cotton canvas, durable and water-repellent exterior (not water-repellent in the interior)
*Lined in heavyweight unbleached 100% cotton duck canvas.
*Optional lining in black 100% cotton canvas
*Natural vegetable-tanned leather handles. Vegan options are available.
*Double cap metal rivets
*Trimmed with 100% cotton twill tape, for a sturdy top edge.
*Fully reversible and collapsible.
*Can be folded flat, for storage or travel.
*Please note- the sides are not meant to support heavy items, as this is constructed with fabric.
*Three sizes available, nesting design.

Please note- the baskets cannot be made much larger than what is listed, as they are meant to be flexible, yet hold a shape. For a much larger size, please look at my listing for the storage tote, which can be made for larger dimensions.

AVAILABLE COLOURS:

CARE:
*Wax is heat sensitive, take care not to expose it to extreme heat.
*Use a lint roller to remove any dust or surface dirt.
*Spot clean with a soft brush or cloth. Use a little mild soap (like Castille soap) and water if needed.
*Water may cause discolouration; a blow dryer will remove the marks
*Dry with a clean towel.
*DO NOT MACHINE WASH OR DRYCLEAN.
*DO NOT BLEACH, DO NOT TUMBLE DRY, DO NOT IRON.
*After some time and heavy use, you may wish to re-wax the canvas. You can do this with a bar of wax such as Otter Wax Heavy Duty Fabric Wax

There may be creases and lines in the wax, after the shipping process. To remove crease marks, or to stiffen the basket, you can use a blow dryer. Hold the basket in one hand, and blow dry in a circular motion for several minutes until the creases disappear. Let it cool down, and the wax will harden; reshape the basket as desired. If you would like to re-wax the basket, you can use a fabric wax of your choice.
